How trade pricing works
- Apply — submit a short trade application with your business details and intended use case.
- Review — we assess your application within 2 business days, including a verification call where appropriate.
- Approval — once approved, you're assigned to the trade group that matches your business model and projected volume.
- Order — log in, see your tier pricing applied automatically, and order via the bulk order form or your dedicated sales agent.
Retail reference prices
The following prices apply on our public storefront for non-trade customers, inclusive of VAT. Trade pricing is significantly lower and is shown only to logged-in trade account holders.

All trade prices are quoted exclusive of VAT. VAT will be calculated and added at checkout once we are VAT-registered with SARS.
Our trade groups
BioAktiva operates five trade groups, each calibrated to a specific business model. Your group is assigned at approval based on your application and projected volume. Pricing reflects the operational realities of each route to market — pallet quantities going to a single delivery point cost less to handle than broken-pallet box quantities going to a retail address.
Trade Standard (Wholesale)
For commercial farmers buying for direct on-farm use. Volume-based pricing on the full BioAktiva range, with deeper tier discounts as your seasonal volume grows. Pallet-quantity orders qualify for additional volume discounts and 3PL freight rates.
- Minimum order: 1 box (15 × 1L or 4 × 5L), or 1 × 20L jerry can, or 1 × 1000L IBC.
- Best value: full pallet quantities, delivered direct to farm.
Reseller Retailer (Garden Centres)
For garden centres, agricultural retailers, and farm shops stocking BioAktiva on shelf. Wholesale pricing on the SaproGro 1L and 5L retail SKUs, with point-of-sale support material, retail staff training, and listing on our store finder. Pricing reflects the additional handling cost of box-quantity dispatch versus full pallet movements, so this tier sits above bulk-pallet groups but well below RRP — leaving you healthy retail margin.
- Minimum order: 1 box per SKU (15 × 1L or 4 × 5L).
- Not a retail SKU: 20L and 1000L IBC are not stocked through this channel — direct customers ordering these are referred to BioAktiva for direct supply.
Export / Distributor
For distributors supplying onward markets within South Africa or exporting to neighbouring SADC countries. Deepest tier discounts, dedicated account manager, customisable shipping arrangements and Incoterms (EXW, FOB, or CIF by negotiation). Quarterly volume commitments apply.
- Minimum order: 1 full pallet per SKU.
- Volume commitment: agreed at account setup.
Cooperative Key Account
For agricultural cooperatives and key institutional accounts purchasing on behalf of multiple member farmers. Bespoke pricing, consolidated invoicing, member-level reporting, and direct delivery to member farms where logistics allow. Designed for cooperatives that want to offer BioAktiva to their members without holding stock themselves.
- Minimum order: 1 full pallet per SKU.
- Account terms: agreed at setup, including member delivery arrangements.
Trade High Volume
For large-scale farming operations and commercial blenders requiring bulk volumes. Pallet, IBC, and full-truckload pricing. Custom logistics arrangements with our 3PL partners. Dedicated technical support for application protocols at scale.
- Minimum order: 1 full pallet per SKU; volume incentives from 5 pallets per order.
- Best for: commercial farms running multi-thousand-hectare programmes.

Ordering terms
Why minimum orders vary by group
Trade pricing reflects the operational cost of getting product from our warehouse to your premises. Full pallets stay intact — they ship via 3PL at LTL or FTL rates and require no repackaging. Box-quantity orders need to be picked from broken pallets, repacked for parcel courier, and handled multiple times. Different groups carry different operational costs, and pricing reflects that.
Payment methods
- EFT — preferred for trade accounts.
- Credit card — via secure payment gateway at checkout.
- Trade credit — qualifying accounts can apply for credit terms after a track record is established with us. Contact us to discuss.
Delivery
- Box-quantity orders — nationwide South Africa via parcel courier (Bob Go integration). Rates calculated at checkout based on your address and order weight.
- Pallet and bulk orders — via our 3PL road transport partners. Rates are tailored to your delivery address and consignment size; you'll see the option at checkout for qualifying orders, or contact us for a tailored quote.
- IBC and full-truckload — direct delivery arrangements with our bulk freight partners. Lead times typically 5–10 business days from order confirmation.

Pricing
- All trade pricing is quoted exclusive of VAT. VAT will be calculated and added at checkout once we are VAT-registered with SARS.
- Prices shown in your trade account reflect your assigned group's tier discount, applied automatically — no codes, no manual quotes for standard orders.
- Volume discounts compound at order level — the more you order in a single transaction, the deeper the discount.
- Prices are subject to periodic review and adjustment. Active trade accounts are notified in advance of any changes.
