Manual of Fertile Acre (Pty) Ltd t/a BioAktiva in terms of section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2 of 2000 ("PAIA"), read with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").

1. Introduction

This manual tells you what records we hold and how you may ask to access them. We provide it as PAIA requires, free of charge, and we will help where we can.

4. Records We Hold

We hold the following categories of records. Some are freely available; others require a formal request.

• Customer records: orders, invoices, delivery and contact details, and support correspondence.
• Company records: statutory and registration documents, financial and tax records, and contracts with suppliers and service providers.
• Product records: product registrations, labels and technical documentation.
• Website records: account data, newsletter sign-ups, Soil Analyser submissions and product reviews.

5. How to Request Access

1. Complete the prescribed PAIA request form (Form 2), available from the Information Regulator's website.
2. Email the completed form to enquiries@bioaktiva.co.za.
3. Give us enough detail to identify the record you want, and to allow us to confirm your identity and your right of access.
4. Pay the prescribed request and access fees where they apply — we will tell you of any fee before we proceed.

We will respond within the period PAIA prescribes (ordinarily 30 days), and will let you know if more time is needed.

6. Grounds on Which We May Refuse

We may refuse a request on the grounds set out in PAIA, including to protect the privacy of another person, to protect commercially sensitive information, or where a record is legally privileged. If we refuse, we will give our reasons and explain your right to appeal, or to approach the Regulator or a court.

7. Availability of This Manual

This manual is available free of charge on this website and on request from the Information Officer.
