Shipping Policy

1. Introduction
This Shipping Policy explains how we deliver products purchased from Fertile Acre (Pty) Ltd t/a BioAktiva via www.bioaktiva.co.za. It supplements our Terms & Conditions and your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008.
2. Delivery Area
We deliver to physical addresses within the Republic of South Africa. We do not currently ship to Post Office boxes, military mail addresses, or destinations outside South Africa via our consumer storefront. Cross-border supply for B2B distributors is arranged separately under specific export agreements.
3. Shipping Partner
We use Bob Go as our integrated logistics platform. Bob Go sources competitive courier rates from multiple South African carriers and selects the option that best balances cost and delivery time for your address. The shipping cost shown at checkout reflects the rate calculated by Bob Go for your specific delivery address, order weight, and selected service level.
4. Dispatch Times
Subject to payment confirmation and stock availability:
- Orders placed before 12h00 SAST on a business day are processed and prepared for dispatch on the same business day, where stock and capacity allow.
- Orders placed after 12h00 SAST, on weekends, or on South African public holidays are processed on the next business day.
- Standard dispatch occurs within two (2) business days of payment confirmation.
We will confirm dispatch by email and provide a tracking reference. If we anticipate any delay beyond our standard dispatch timeframe, we will notify you in writing.
5. Delivery Times
Once dispatched, estimated delivery times are calculated by Bob Go based on your address and the carrier selected. Estimates are not guarantees, but typical ranges are:
- Major metro areas (Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria, Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein) — 1 to 3 business days from dispatch.
- Smaller cities and regional centres — 2 to 5 business days from dispatch.
- Outlying and rural areas — 3 to 7 business days from dispatch.
Bob Go displays an estimated delivery window at checkout for your specific address. Delays may occur due to weather, courier capacity, public holidays, or rural-area routing constraints.
6. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are displayed at checkout and depend on:
- Your delivery address (province and town).
- Total order weight.
- The number of parcels required for your order.
- The service level you select (where multiple options are offered).
We do not surcharge or mark up shipping rates beyond what Bob Go quotes us. From time to time we may run promotions offering free or discounted shipping, subject to specific terms displayed at the time of the promotion.
7. B2B Trade and Bulk Orders
Approved B2B trade-account holders see negotiated shipping rates after their account is approved, which may differ from the rates available on the consumer-facing storefront. For high-volume orders or special handling requirements (including pallet shipments and full-truckload deliveries), please contact us at enquiries@bioaktiva.co.za for a tailored shipping quote before placing the order.
8. Tracking Your Order
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email containing:
- Your tracking reference number.
- A link to track your delivery in real time via the carrier or Bob Go portal.
- The estimated delivery window for your address.
If you do not receive a dispatch confirmation within three (3) business days of your order, please contact enquiries@bioaktiva.co.za.
9. Delivery Issues
Please inspect your order on receipt. If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or is not what you ordered, contact us at enquiries@bioaktiva.co.za within 48 hours of delivery with:
- Your order number.
- Photographs clearly showing the damage or issue.
- Photographs of the outer packaging, including any visible carrier damage.
Where damage occurred in transit, we will lodge a claim with the carrier and arrange a replacement or refund in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.
10. Failed Deliveries and Address Errors
To avoid failed deliveries, please ensure your delivery address is complete and accurate at checkout, including:
- A street address (not a Post Office box).
- Suburb, city, and postal code.
- A reachable contact telephone number for the carrier to coordinate delivery.
Where a delivery fails because of an incorrect address, an unavailable recipient, or refusal to accept delivery, the carrier will attempt redelivery or return the parcel to us. Re-dispatch costs may apply, which we will quote to you before re-dispatching.
11. Risk and Title
Risk of loss or damage in the products passes to you on successful delivery to your nominated address, except where the loss or damage is caused by our breach or the breach of our courier partner before delivery is completed. Title in the products passes to you once we have received payment in full and the products have been delivered to you.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delivery delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, civil unrest, fuel shortages, carrier strikes, government action, or pandemic-related restrictions. Where such events occur, we will keep you informed and arrange dispatch as soon as conditions allow.
